Art Show Triptych’s
In the last Art show we had the theme was triptych’s. I took these photos of my little brother skateboarding on the front porch and I loved the idea of using him for the show. I call this “skater Boy” because he is a skater who spends every free moment on his board. I took the pictures when I was feeling really sick and wasn’t paying much attention. When I pulled them up on the computer I realized how loud and obnoxious my background was. I had Mr. Street help me out by giving suggestions on how to blur the background while still looking natural. As I was working on the photos during class I realized I really liked the pictures in black and white. After turning it black and white I lost the vibrant colors on the bottom side of Ben’s board and that bummed me out so I decided that I would bring one thing back into the photo that has color, everything else stays black and white. In the beginning I was very disappointed with my picture but after spending a lot of time working on it and then seeing the final product in a frame I was very pleased. I felt like this Art show also helped me out a lot with my Photoshop skills and I feel much more confident. At the art show I felt that people enjoyed looking at my picture and I was very pleased. My brother loved seeing himself on the wall in frames like this too.
“Black love”
I did a simple photo shoot with my friend Caylala and this is the triptych that I came out with. I Love it! I had a very hard time deciding on which pictures I would rather put in the art show. I didn’t use Caylala but I do want her on my blog. I think these photos are just great.
B&W BEAUTY
My friend Caylala, my younger sister and I just had way too much fun taking photos, of each other, of ourselves and of the objects around the area. It was a fun night and I love the photos I ended up with.
